hlpressley
For the purposes of competition, which would you choose and why? I am comparing the regular manual safety SP-01, not the Shadow version. Either will get the CGW parts installed and polished. Just thought the 85 Combat may be a viable option with the absence of a FPB.
ArrDave
The 85 combat has a nicer trigger, with or without cajun parts, but the question becomes do you want the upswept beaver tail, beveled magwell, and rubber grips vs. the balance of the traditional 75/85 frame? 85 can have a "better" trigger, but you're giving up the above to get it. Similarly can you cope with the nose heavy balance of the SP01 or do you prefer something that balances more like a 1911/ BHP? Are you used to swinging a 42 oz gun around? I recently went to a 75 after running single stack for a year, and it felt like I was flying in transitions. A baseline Shadow or SP01 shadow might be the ticket Edited December 20, 2015 by ArrDave

bowenbuilt
Buy both. CZ's are just like Lay's potato chips. Nobody can eat just one.
tha1000
I started my CZ adventure with a SP-01 Shadow and found that I like the 75 pre B/85C platform better. So I sold my Shadows. Agree that it is personal preference.
