MrWhite
I'm trying to decide between the hunter in 45 or the elite limited in 45. I'll be using it mainly for punching paper and a little friendly competition. I'm using soft target loads, and with these loads I know I'll need to use a reduced power recoil spring. However the 6" slide of the hunter seems to be a problem. Is the recoil spring the same length in both the hunter and the elite limited? I haven't seen one taken apart but I would guess that the spring on the hunter would be longer. Makes sense right? If it is and I can't find replacements that would be a deal breaker. I searched 20 pages of archives earlier today and couldn't find what I was looking for. Can somebody who owns one in 45 chime in and shed some light on this issue? Intercooler2
I use longslide springs in both from Wolff
kneelingatlas
The springs are the same length, the Hunter has a spacer to make up the difference.
MrWhite
Thanks for the responses. Is there a benefit to using the longslide springs as opposed to the others?
Nealio
The springs are all the same from Wolff, its just the longslide ones are rated -2lbs less.
