flattened primers?

One thing I have noticed is very flat primers on my revolver loads. Loading 9mm for a 929 minor PF. Ive loaded with WST and used 124, 115, 147, and in the revo the primers are really flat. I don't recall these loads having flat primers out of my auto's. Is this a common thing in a revolver with federal primers? Im new to the wheel world

The newer Smith revolvers have a firing pin bushing with a slight crown to it. I speculate that the reason for this is to make sure the primer is below flush after firing to allow the fired case to rotate around easier. Sometimes on hotter loads there can be a little volcano on the primer that formed around the firing pin during firing.
