usmc0326
I have a unique slide that I want to change to "classic" cut. I what I dont know is what the radius is or the cut length. assuming you center a 1/2 ball endmill on the end of the slide. I have dro on my mill, just need to know endmill, cut distance and centerline of cut. Thanks!
Aircooled6racer
Hello: You can mark the end of the cut when the slide is on the frame with some Dykem and a scriber. Take the slide off and use a ball end mill of the size that you like the look of. 1/2" is used most of the time but 3/8" looks cool also and so does 1/4". The depth you will have to decide on as well. I think stock STI is 5/16" if I remember correctly. Hope this helps. Have fun with your project. Can
Hi, i think i'm confused, do you want to cut a channel with the ball endmill? or are you talking about a radius on the corners of the slide all the way down?
