Noximus03
Thinking of moving up there if I get the job I'm being considered for. Are there any USPSA/SSC matches within reasonable distance?
Vlad
Yep, there are like 3-4 USPSA matches within an hour, a couple of IDPA ones, steel, etc. Its just that our laws suck, but shooting sports are well and alive.
Noximus03
I'm coming from the south there we can't spell "mag limitations". Hows it going to work with my big sticks, and 140's for Lim?
Vlad
Well NJ mag limit is 15, and by USPSA rules it means that Open and Limited are also automatically limited to 15.
Noximus03
ok, then theres still Open/Lim divisions, at least. Besides the snow, doesn't sound too bad.
Glk21C
can you live in PA as an alternative? or too long of a commute?
Hi-Power Jack
there are 3-4 USPSA matches within an hour, a couple of IDPA ones, steel, etc. I lived in northern NJ for 20 years, and just north of NJ in NY for 32 years. Where are all these matches within 1 hour of Newark, NJ? Are you counting CT and PA?

Noximus03
Well, I've gone and done it. Moved to Staten Island last month. Still getting settled, but I'll be looking for direction with uspsa/Steel shooting soon.
Hi-Power Jack
SI is a little worse than Newark. You can still hit Pennsylvania and Old Bridge, NJ, but your "Best Bet"? will be couple ranges out on Long Island. BUT, The LI Expressway is a b*tch. And, you have a 10 round mag limit in NY. Good luck.
Noximus03
I'll still focus my efforts in Jersey, and maybe Conn. We shall see......thankfully, I have a few FGW teammates in Jersey.
