cutting magazines to fit in the SS box?

I have ten of the tripp 10R-10MM-RG magazines. When I ordered them I saw the 10 round one on Dawson's web site that said it had the trimmed base pad and flex follower that fit in the box. I assumed this meant all the 10 round tubes would work, but I'd have to trim the base pads (which I could do). Well I tried to put it in the box today, not even close. It looks like the tube is to long, as in it wouldn't even fit without the base pads. So I'd like to trim them all to 9ish round capacity. Originally I thought I might want to shoot minor, but the gun handles easier than I thought it would in major (come from and SP01). I have an email into tripp asking for their help; if they can't anyone have any ideas? I am pretty sure I could trim the base pads (tops of them) with a dremal, and if the bottom needs it; same. I'll need to cut about a 1/2 inch off the bottom of the mag tube and then recut slots for the base pads. I don't have the tools for this.

You might be better off to sell them and get some that would work.

Yeah that is plan B. Stupid me for not doing the proper research, just didn't want spend another $350 on mags. I could probably sale them, they don't have much wear.

Easier to only buy 1 and check than buy a heap, but you probably know that now

Yep! That was the plan, for some reason I forgot the plan and convinced myself.they fit.

Update, tripp said $5/mag to re-cut them. They have been awesome to work with. I had some other things occur on an order and they went out of their way to help; great company.
