Speed Beez clip holder and S&W 929 grips...?

So I have been looking around for clip holders for the 929 and stubled across the Speed Beez rig. Just wondering if anyone has one or have seen one, and if so, what do you think?

Also, I want to put some wood grips on it and am looking at the Hogue Big Butt girps. The only ones I see are for round to square style. Is this what folks are using?

I can't seem to find a Speed Beez moonclip holder. If you're asking about the holder that has individual post topped with a magnet, it's okay and seems to be the most popular. I prefer the North Mountain holder:

Yes, I've got Big Butt grips on all my revolvers. Only my 29 has a square butt, all the rest are round.

On the Big Butt grips, do the make a specific one for round butt N frames, or do I need to order the conversion to square butt model?

I've used a holder similar to that one and I still prefer the Moon Mountain holder.

You have to order the Big Butt for a round frame.like this one:

The slot in the back is cut not as deep for the frame.

To be absolutely clear.....is your gun round of square frame?

That is a "convert to square" frame grip. As far as I know the 929 is a round frame? And it looks like all the big butt grips for round frame are eventually convert models. That is was has been throwing me off.

I think the "convert to square frame" designation means the bottom of the butt doesn't follow the frame, i.e. it's bottom is the same profile as the square butt grips.

It's much easier now that you said you want to put it on a 929

If you still have doubts, why not give Hogue a call?

I usually make it a day trip and go down to the Paso Robles store so I can see the grain/color of the wood.

They do call Hogue directly to order they give you the option so does Dillon I think.
