danjordan78
Have an STI Steelmaster. Shoot minor with it. Have never had a single issue with it shooting Steel Challenge. No jams, FTEs, FTFs, nothing, not a single one. But... When I shoot USPSA with it I've had 4 FTEs now. Any ideas? My thoughts are possible loosening of the grip in awkward positions? Friend suggested an Aftec. Hate to mess with it as I primarily focus on steel, but I'd like it to work when I want to shoot USPSA. Thanks!

al503
You might be thumbing the slide?
danjordan78
It has a 90 degree cmore mount on it. My thumb can't even touch the slide. Weird. Thanks for the suggestion though.
gng4life
Do you load your mags for SC and USPSA to different capacities? Does it happen more when it's full or empty or doesn't matter?
danjordan78
Only load 10 for SC but the FTEs don't come when the mags are topped off. Just randomly in the middle of stages. Mags are probably only half full at that point so close to where they are when shooting steel. And it's not one particular mag either.

My grip is so inconsistent that my right thumb will rub against the cocking serrations from grip to grip.
