TxD
The SP01 won't make weight in SSP after 1-1-06. The question is: Does the extended dust cover keep it out of ESP? The rules are really vague on this issue. Has anyone asked HQ about this?
Merlin Orr
Looks like it will be called another "gamer gun" - like the Para LDA....
Joe D
The extended cover should not keep it out of ESP. Then again who knows what will come out of IDPA HQ.
waktasz
According to the rules I don't think it would be legal. It would have to be SSP legal to be able to compete in ESP since extended dustcovers are specifically disallowed in ESP.
Sestock
Why is a Para LDA a gamer gun????
EricBudd
I don't know. I like my Para 'gamer gun'. P 14.45 with the alloy frame and the 10 round magazine weighs exactly 39 oz. I'm good to go for SSP. I guess the LDA is a 'gamer gun' because it has all the ergonomics of a classic 1911 and has a DAO trigger that is the best ever. The trigger pull is long, but light and the break is very crisp.
