M&P .45 in CDP

Any of you guys using the M&P .45 to compete in IDPA's CDP division? How do you find the gun stacked up against some of the tricked out 1911's? Just curious as I just picked up a .45 a few months ago and have debated on giving CDP a try. Curious to hear you guys thoughts.

I plan on getting classified in cdp with mine. I was going to get the 451 basepads from Taylor freelance so I could fit 11 in the magazines and they pair up with the sss magwel.

What would be the benefit of having 11 in the magazine? To shoot SSP or ESP?

Have you tried the m&p 9c? Mine is as accurate as my 5" pro and will take full size mags.

That is actually me everyday carry gun. I shoot it pretty well but my hands are really large and mag swaps are extremely difficult. Would love to have something just a little larger.

I do not have the 9c but do you think the xgrip extension would help or are you saying that your hand covers the mag well when its empty. I have been toying with the idea of getting a compact but I too have large hands.
