wscottstewart
Can this gun be converted to any other calibers? Are the small frame parts totally different than my large frame parts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kneelingatlas
You can drop a 9mm barrel into it (I even have a 6" barrel for sale ) and you're correct that few parts cross over between frame sizes.
wscottstewart
It says IPSC on the side. Has a very stiff double spring. Are you sure you don't want to collect this weirdo. I guess I could put my 40 barrel in this thing too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kneelingatlas
The breech face on the slide is too small for a 40 case.
wscottstewart
How can it be .41 AE then? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
shabodah
.41 ae has a rebated rim, using the same breech face as 9mm. They also made a 9mm ae that was the 41 ae necked back down to 9mm, so, basically the same idea as 40 s&w, but allowed for even easier conversion than 40 s&w in 9mm based pistols. IMHO, none of the ae cartridges are worth bothering with, but kinda neat ideas.
Intel6
I brought back a Tanfoglio "IPSC Ultra" from when I was stationed in Germany. It had the words "IPSC Ultra" on the slide a DVC shield on the hard chrome frame and a DVC serial number. Since it was a 9mm breach face slide I fitted a Briley 6" 9mm barrel and had it trimmed back and then picked up some 9mm mags for it. This is still the most accurate 9mm I own with either jacketed or lead bullets. It also takes allt he small frame stuff like the single action flat trigger.
