Onepocket
Why does this small difference in size matter? What will it do if to large or small? Edgumcate me.
Fowlmouths
The .402 will not chamber a lot of the time.

Onepocket
Why not just shoot .400 in all of your guns? Are the tighter ones that much more accurate?
z40acp
They can be cleaner depending on the type of bullet.

z40acp
It is not as important with jacketed bullets but if it is undersized you can get blow by from not sealing off.
z40acp
With cast bullets they always say slug your barrel and size the bullet .001 over.
himurax13
Lead bullets tend to lead your barrel less if they are properly sized.
Rustygun
Lead bullets tend to lead your barrel less if they are properly sized. So what is "properly sized". I am kind of new to reloading and am considering going to lead bullets. But thought I should start with a coated version. I even bought 250 of the 180 gr FN blue bullets based on an article I read. Please correct me here but I think with the .400 size accuracy declines, with the .402 you might have trouble chambering. Also you would think a tighter fit in the bore would elevate the chamber pressure? If these are correct assumptions then why even make/sell smaller or larger bullets? Your input is appreciated as I continue my education in the art of reloading.
