Pressure signs question

Recommended Posts

I made a new load and tested it in my cz ts and the primers looks a little crated with a small amount of flow. The same load in my glock 24 has a perfect looking strike. Is it safe to assume the round is not over pressure ? The difference in the guns could be making the primers look different?

That's a lot of Commercial #5 for that case size. I've never loaded a bullet that light for 40 cal. I get 1000 fps out of a CZ Tactical Sport using Bayou 175 gn bullets at a 1.15 OAL. I wouldn't be at all surprised if you are pushing the pressure envelop.

4.75gns With a Bayou 180, I get 175 pf with 4.7.

That sounds about right compared to where my load is. Csb-5 has came close to titegroup data for me. And titegroup data for our 2 bullet weights is right about where we are both at.
