1eyedfatman
I'm looking at putting in an order and thought I might pick up a couple of Lone Wolf Glock extended slide locks. On MidwayUSA it says they fit Glock 36, but reading around, I've seen it says it fits all Glock models. I have a Glock 34, 20 and 19 which I'd put one on. You guys know if this part works for all those? I would think on the Glock 34 and 19 yes, but the Glock 20 (all gen 4 so SF) seems a little bit wider. bowenbuilt
The same one fits all that you have. I believe the LWD's are a stamped part if you would be interested in a machined slide lock instead of a stamped part I have had really good luck with these. They are thicker and absolutely straight unlike some of the cheaper stamped parts. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rock-Your-Glock-ESLL-Extended-Slide-Lock-Lever-For-Glock-Stainless-Steel-/361195659885
bmiller
I have an extended one off a gen4 35, and a ghost extended slide lock lever with the bump moved to the front, I would trade for one without a bump on it. My grip is high enough that I bump it and the slide locks open with major ammo.
JBP55
Are you gentlemen referring to the Slide Lock which locks the slide on or the Slide Stop which locks the slide back?
bmiller
Sorry, brainfart:). I am referring to a slide stop.
JBP55
OEM Glock Extended slide stop #7496 fits all current model 9mm, .40 and .357S Glocks. bmiller
So can I pop one out of an old gen 2 22 and put it in my gen 4 35? Edited February 23, 2015 by bmiller
JBP55
The old 2 pin Glocks use a different slide stop.
bmiller
Ok thanks
1eyedfatman
Thanks for that detail. Yes, I was talking about the slide stop also. Makes sense that the wider body Glocks (i.e. G20) have a different slide stop then a G17.
b1gcountry
I am pretty sure all the gen 2 40s are 3 pin models
bmiller
So are they interchangeable? The pin on the older one looks bigger, but did not measure it. Edited February 23, 2015 by bmiller
b1gcountry
Yep. Swap away.
bowenbuilt
When you purchase an aftermarket extended slide lock the model 20, 21 is the exact same as the model 17, 19. The same slide lock fits all Glocks Generation 1 through 4 except for the model 42 and 36. The frame thickness at the slide lock location is very close between the 2 frame sizes so the same slide lock works equally well on both frames. DreGarciaTAT2
Also, you should consider the vickers slide stop. I really like the way they function, slight protrusion instead of extra (in the way) length. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JBP55
Some shooters have replaced the Vickers slide stop after having issues with them.
tonyxcom
Just be careful when used on a 30S and 41. The thinner slides on wider frames cause the slide to catch on the very edge of the stop. They will work but might need to be replaced sooner.
