brunerjr Posted March 23, 2015 Share Posted March 23, 2015 2015 USPSA Area 5 Championship 2015 USPSA Area 5 Championship will be hosted at Winnequah Gun Club on August 27th-30th in Lodi, Wisconsin. There will be 14 stages scheduled for either a one day or two-half day formats. Match will be two and a half days with approximately 340 total slots available. Registration is open and applications can be downloaded from www.wisconsinshooters.com and Match Shirts can be ordered at the time of registration ($25). Squadding will open approximately May1st. brunerjr Posted March 23, 2015 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Range Improvements: For those of you that competed in our previous Section matches you may remember that we sit on about 350 acres of land and we used much of it for the match. During these matches competitors had a pretty good distance to walk between stages. We are in the process of improving the ranges to minimize the distance competitors have to travel. Range work has already started to add 6 new ranges and split an existing range. This will give us 11 ranges in very close proximately to each other. For our competitors convenience, we have secured rates at four locations close to the range with special rates for August 26th, 27th, 28th, and 29th, 2015. Rooms at the special rates will be held at the following four locations until July 26th, 2015. If you look at the list you will notice that some indicate "Not Posted" and others indicate "Posted". Wisconsin's concealed carry law allows a business to "post" that they do not allow concealed carry weapons in their establishment. Therefore, if you make reservations at a "Posted" establishment be prepared to have all of your firearms properly cased. The airport is approximately 25 miles (40 minutes) from the range. General Mitchel International Airport (MKE) in Milwaukee is approximately 105 miles (1 hour 50 minutes) from the range. Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago, IL is approximately 160 miles (3 hours) from the range. Middleton Municipal Airport - Morey Field (C29) in Middleton, WI is the closest full service general aviation airport. Morey Field is approximately 20 miles (30 minutes) from the range. The area has a number of State Parks and the Wisconsin Dells (aka the Dells) is one of the most popular tourist locations in Wisconsin claiming to be the “Waterpark Capital of the World”. The center of the Dells is approximate 35 miles (40 minutes) from the range. Information about the attractions in the Wisconsin Dells is available at: http://www.wisdells.com/wisconsin-dells.htm.
