2016 USPSA Area 5 Championship – Update 5/21/16 2016 USPSA Area 5 Championship sponsored by VORTEX Optics is less than 3 months away. The match will once again be hosted by Winnequah Gun Club on August 17th-21st in Lodi, Wisconsin. The 17th is open to staff only and the 18th is open to staff and special invite competitors. The range will be open to competitors while the staff is competing. The match is scheduled for competitors to be shot in either a one day (Friday of Saturday) or two-half day formats (Saturday & Sunday AM). There will be approximately 360 total slots available, at this time there are about 270 slots taken including staff. There currently is a waitlist for Saturday and Sunday which I plan on clearing up as much as possible by June 3rd. If you haven’t submitted your application yet I encourage you to do so ASAP. The stages have been approved by USPSA and we should be publishing them by July 1. New for this year will be larger cash payouts. Not less than $10 per paid competitor will be added to the awards budgets. We will provide updates as to how the payouts will be distributed as we get closer to the match. Squadding – is OPEN by invitation after receipt of a completed application. We are inviting competitors to squad in order that the applications are received so register soon to get your preference in squads.
