Steve RA
First thing I'd do is get rid of the carpet. Much easier to keep clean with hard floor.

Sarge
And vacuuming a carpet with primers in it can be a real eye opener! Remember to run some power strips up the wall. Amazing how soon you will fill up every outlet in a reloading room!!
ToddKS
I would put some mats down on top of the carpet. I believe Sams sells those mats like they put by doors at businesses. Will be easier to clean up and protect the rented carpet as well.
b1gcountry
The carpet was my first thought as well.. Should be a good place though. Edited November 3, 2014 by b1gcountry
Trini
Buy a piece of carpet about 3 ft wide and 5/6 ft long and turn it up side down. Dropped primers live or dead and spilled powder with be easier to clean up. You get extra cushion for your feet.
