Hey all, I just took advantage of the offering to shoot the Florida Open on the Thursday!!!! I haved been to a couple of Local Matches to watch, but as of today not yet shot a match. I will get at least two locals under my belt before the Florida Open, but this is gonna be really awesome. Nothing like getting thrown to the "wolves" first thing out.

I have competed in another sport for 15 years, so the competition is not a problem, but I am really excited about getting into IPSC.

Gonna shoot Limited, as I figured that the fewer reloads the better for the time being.

I have a new STI Edge in .40 that is awesome looking, I will post gun porn pics next week.

Hey Eric

Yes I am local, I live in South Florida in the Palm Beach area. I don't think I will be around Friday -Saturday, as I have lot's of kids sports to attend, but if everything goes well, will try to take them back up to watch some of the top shooters on Sunday!

As for shooting A's, I will try to shoot them as fast as I can :D

I am pretty accurate, and fairly fast, but the draw and reloads are still VERY new to me. And the fact that I have YET to fire the new gun, I am sure to be a little slow anyway. I saw it the other day, Derek Janowizc at Millenniumm Custom is putting some finishing touches on it before I pick it up.

I was going to tell you to go grab an old gun you knew, but then you said Derek.

I came home after a month down here on TDY, picked up a new gun from Derek on Friday, loaded ammo and went on to shoot the FL state Sat/Sun. the gun ran great, and I finished 2nd.

It will probably be VERY tight, bring something to wipe the rails down with after about three or four stages to keep things loose and reliable.

Benny

I have no illusions that I am in WAY over my head, but it will be great to have a barometer to measure between this year and next year's matches after I have a year under my belt.

My goal is to practice enough between now and then to be able to draw and reload smoothly and reliably so as not to handicap me too greatly.

I just hope to be able to perform to my practice standards. Having been in sports for a long time, I will not be nervous, but it is always different with a scorecard in your hand.

John

Hope we get to meet up, I will try to have the weather warm for ya!
