I just put 1 (shock buff only)on my Lim Elite 10 and Lim Pro 38 Super but have not shot them . Bow season has started in Texas so I am on stand right now. I hope they run as advertised .

Just curious how the OP had his installed?

Put the buff on the rod with the little cut out part facing up, then the spring, then install like normal.

It works, just won't allow for the slide stop to engage.

What Caliper and Recoil spring are you using?

You mean caliber? It's 10mm. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you are asking.

It's the factory spring. Has about 50 rounds on it.

So you can't get the slide stop to engage when you pull the slide back by hand, or this is only when your mag runs dry?

Hand. Haven't tried it shooting yet, but I don't see how that could work either.

I think it stops the slide from its full length of travel. Maybe it needs to shot to squish the buff some?

This is from Henning's website:

We only recommend using the shock buffers as a way to reduce impact stress on the practice range. For carry and competition, any consumable such as a shock buffer may be unreliable. Due to the size of the shock buffer and the reduced rear travel (0.080") caused by the shock buffer, the slide may or may not lock back on empty. There are modifications that can be done to the slide stop etc to ensure rear locking, but as mentioned, we recommend shock buffers as a training tool only.

It states there that the slide may not stay locked back.

I had stoppages at all three power levels. My opinion is just run the spring for the load.

I gave a Sprinco a try and was mixed on how I liked it. This Limited has a 20lb spring which functions about perfect with up to 700lb. loads. When I run something that gets above that I plop in the 22lb. spring. When I have tried the shok-buffs in different pistols I always find they experience some stoppages at some point.
