Nick S
Recently I pulled my carrier latch from my M1 for some polishing. I was looking at the posts regarding opening the little u shaped reliefs and it doesn't look like I have them on my part. The gun is an older HK stamped M1. Is this an older generation part? Thanks Nick Edited September 30, 2014 by Nick S
CraigS.
You have the standard M1 part. The M2 comes with the slots. Just be careful you don't cut the slots too deep.
Nick S
OK. SO just confirming nothing to file or cut on the M1 part? Thanks Nick
CraigS.
Nick you want to cut the slots the same as the M2 to allow more flex which makes less resistance pushing shells past It. Or you could just buy the M2 latch it is the same dimensions as the M1.

Nick S
Not the same part. But for what it's worth I have one of those and it's very nice.
