RMark
I was shooting my 17 Gen4 and XDM 5.25 today. The 17 stayed on target better than the XDM with the same ammo. What is the recoil spring weight on the factory gun? I may need a different spring in my XDM, or I may be looking at a 34 to replace the XDM. HOGRIDER
RMark: Glock wouldn't divulge the weights about a year ago when I was inquiring.....GSSF claimed 16# was stock....

zimm33
Ditto on the 16lb. I believe i have seen that mentioned on a couple of the parts websites when selling the aftermarket springs. Try glock store or rock my glock
JBP55
The Gen 3 spring is 17# and the Gen 4 spring is heavier than the Gen 3 spring by a couple #'s. I tried a 15# ISMI spring in a Gen 4 G17 as soon as they were available and it was much lighter than the OEM spring.
bigtimelarry
Your saying a Glock 17 or 34 Gen 4 comes with a 19 lb recoil spring ?
HOGRIDER
I was inquiring about using a G34G4 RSA in a G35G4 back in late 2012, and a GSSF member stated the G35 was 17#, and the G17/G34 RSA was "about 1 pound lighter"..... Still haven't seen any factory published data to confirm/deny.

I also read somewhere the first edition RSA that was used in the Gen 4 G17/G22 was 22# before it was deemed too heavy and revised. My early Gen 4 G17 had a RSA that was much heavier than the adapted version I installed with a 15# ISMI spring.
JBP55
Your saying a Glock 17 or 34 Gen 4 comes with a 19 lb recoil spring ? Have you ever fired a Gen 4 Glock with a lighter recoil spring than a Gen 3 Glock of the same model? Rack the slide on bath side by side and tell me which one is heavier. 3djedi
I thought it was 17#. I use a 13# in mine.
