Also loaded up some Winchester autocomp 124 x treme mixed brass win SRP 6.0 1.080 OAL 1. 1364 2. 1370 new chron n I only got 2 of the 1st 5 shots. 169 avg pf Same bullet and OAL 6.5g 1. 1428 2. 1448 3. 1467. 4. 1449 5. 1409. 6. 1427. 7. 1429 8. kneelingatlas Posted September 11, 2014 Share Posted September 11, 2014 I shoot SP2 and VV claims 3N38 is an equal so it might behave similarly: I shoot 115gr bullets @ 1.160" and when I loaded more than 9.5gr, the velocity started to go down; 10gr actually yielded less velocity than 9.5gr. At a shorter OAL with a heavier bullet I suspect you hit the same point at a lower charge weight. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Open1215 Posted September 11, 2014 Author Share Posted September 11, 2014 Sorry for the double post I didn't see that until now. I love the 3n38 load it was very soft and very flat. I think I will load a few at 7.8 and see if I can get a reliable 165 and that will be my ipsc comp load. Perhaps keep experimenting with the autocomp at lower loads and n go from there.
