ericm Posted September 5, 2014 Share Posted September 5, 2014 ...went straight from the Noveske Multigun match (end 31st AUG) to the dove fields (start 01 SEP). I used the same 26" VM as at the match (suitably plugged); just put some oil on the bolt rails. Used my old standard Choate 6 round carriers (4 on a belt). Lessons REAFFIRMED: 1. whether shooting thru ports or around a tree on one knee, YOU NEED A GOOD SET OF SIGHTS on a shotgun to make hits. Shotgun fitting is for those who don't understand the use of the rifle before taking up practical shotgun 2. weak hand loading is still very viable. Loading one, two or 3 (from locked back) with the gun up and eyes generally on target WORKS!
