Frankly
And I'm wondering if such a thing as practical shotgun training and matches even exist in Western New York? All I find are clays, not even a range to practice on. In any event I'm coming from an air pistol and 22 rifle target shooting background ~ Just got a Beretta 1301 Comp 12-ga last week and have been having a literal "blast" with it ;-p I'm still quite a ways from being ready to shoot 3-gun but I'd love to try something other than trap. Thanks for the great forum, I've been reading it every night for a couple of weeks and Beretta should give you a commission!

Hi-Power Jack
Frank, look up uspsa.org - that will list all the gun clubs in your area that shoot USPSA. At least that's a start in finding what you're looking for - or ask at your local gun shop. Believe I shot my first major match just outside of Rochester - back in 1994 - it was an Area 7 match, I believe.

Frankly
Thanks. Looks like I'll try shooting out at Brooks if anyone from here is around.

robb315
At the Rochester Brooks match's they'll usually have a shotgun or rifle side match. Ontario Rod & Gun might also have something along that lines also.
