Justsomeguy Posted August 12, 2014 Share Posted August 12, 2014 You can safely use bullets of even .357 diameter in a 9mm pistol, but you may want to adjust your powder load to compensate for the higher pressure created if you are near the maximum load for your powder choice or use a short OAL. Many people use .356" lead bullets in 9mm as that is the nominal size recommended for lead 9mm bullets, and some plated bullets are also that size.
