jedmyers
Hello, can anyone tell me the best way to determine the correct pound recoil spring needed in an STI 2011 9mm? Thanks!
Steve RA
I'd probably start with a 10lb and go from there.
Alan550
You can usually judge from the direction and distance on the ejected brass. If it's just dribbling out of the gun, lighten the spring. If it lands in the next ZIP code get a heavier one, but Steve's suggestion is a good place to start.....10# for an average 9mm load, and work from there. jedmyers
Thank you guys! I just bought the gun and I'm honestly not sure what in it for a spring. I just worked up a load for it today so I wanted to make sure the spring is ok as well. As for ejecting the brass, it does throw them a fair distance.
