How to determine the correct recoil spring

You can usually judge from the direction and distance on the ejected brass. If it's just dribbling out of the gun, lighten the spring. If it lands in the next ZIP code get a heavier one, but Steve's suggestion is a good place to start.....10# for an average 9mm load, and work from there.

Thank you guys! I just bought the gun and I'm honestly not sure what in it for a spring. I just worked up a load for it today so I wanted to make sure the spring is ok as well. As for ejecting the brass, it does throw them a fair distance.
