Looks like they have heavy plugs for Gen4s if you don't use a backstrap. How heavy can you go while still being under the 43oz limit for ESP? RexKramer Posted June 10, 2014 Share Posted June 10, 2014 I have the Dawson Precision Ice on my Gen4 G34 and using the +200 mag extensions it will fit in the IDPA box. The G34 has the medium backstrap with beavertail and Warren Tactical Sevigney sights, to give you the idea of its size. Haven't tried the +300 extensions, but you might need a mallet to get it in there.. The Ice magwell seems to work pretty well, easy to install, and depending on how you reload, you can get away with no extentions at all. The stock base plate fits flush with the bottom of the mag well. I'd recommend a mag extension, though. Makes life a lot easier. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
