konkapot
Looking at moving to the Manassas/Nokesville/Warrenton area of Virginia. What's the range situation like for practicing? I see there are a lot of active clubs in Virginia, but will need a place to train at. PM with info please.
alma
Peacemaker National might be a bit of a drive but would be a great option. You might also be able to join the range in Quantico. Edited June 1, 2014 by alma
Glk21C
The NRA headquarters range in Fairfax runs monthly uspsa matches as well ad other organized events.
3guns
The best thing going is the Issac Walton range in Stafford. You have your own controlled access. It's about $150 a year and have to have a member sponsor you. It's not that hard. They have at least a 100m rifle range, trap range, & 25m pistol. You won't find matches there but it's excellent to practice.
alma
At the last match at Quantico Shooting Club they mentioned that a few civilian memberships were available for around the same rate as is mentioned for Izaak Walton. There is even an opportunity to open trap stations a few times a year to pay for your membership fee. They are holding USPSA and steel matches. The USPSA match was 5 stages and I was in my car heading home by 11:50 (and not because of a DQ). I will by trying to go there more often, especially since it doesn't take all day like some of the more popular clubs.
