Todd B.
A couple years ago I had Matt Cheely machine my slide to low mount a Deltapoint and he did a fantastic job. I'm very happy. I want to have another slide machined the same way but unfortunately Matt is not currently taking on this type of work. Does anyone else do this type of machining? thanks. toothandnail
This one we melted the FFIII in earlier, then did the slide cuts later, this pic was as soon as it came out of the CNC mill
Steve RA
It's drilled for a Doctor, has the adapter for the Burris, wanted to get it as low as possible. So thats why it may be a little lower than some. It all works with the red dot off of it, nothing falls off or out !
Loves2Shoot
We do all the major profiles and can do an oddball one if you send the scope in.
Todd B.
thanks for the responses and pics guys. Does anyone machine them with the locator pins like the Leupold base rather than the just a flat surface with the mounting screw holes?
Loves2Shoot
If you look at the second photo, you will see locator studs at the mounting screw holes. When we can, we do that.
Todd B.
Thanks Scott. I didn't notice that before. It would be for a 1911 slide and the DP uses 4 locators at the 4 corners. If I did it right, here is a photo of the original slide:
Loves2Shoot
Yes, we do the mounting holes because we can get more threads and it makes the other holes obsolete. You have to use a tiny end mill to add the corner locators.
