My target master compensator does not seem to do much until I use very heavy loads. Are there comps that are effective with lighter loads?

I used an airsoft comp which worked pretty well with factory ammo:

Yes use a two or three port comp. egw sells good ones they have them in aluminum , and titanium too. They market them for steel guns and bianchi.

My 2 port with side ports on only the last port works well at minor loads..... Sooo I call BS on comp with minor 9 loads don't work.... I just chronod sub minor for steel and minor 9 loads with tite group 4.8..124gr x trene..... Got 1183 avg and NO PRESSURE SIGNS. ..... Will try 2 tenth increments increases till I see any signs.. at 4.6 and 4.8 the gun was shooting pretty flat.

My sub minor 3.5 with same bullet runs soft and damm flat and gun runs 100%

Oh my gun is an M&P 5" CORE with a KKM barrel

I put my cmore on a limited gun without a comp. and used the same minor loads as used in the comped gun. There is a big difference in muzzel jump so the comp is effective even with light loads. The heavier the load the more it does but helps even on the low power end.

I've run factory PF 127 ammo thru my TruBor and it doesn't jump very much - of course the gun

is a lot heavier than my BHP. But, I'm betting the comp does help keep the muzzle down.
