I use the Gen 3 adapter on my Gen 4 35 with no other backstrap. Works great for me.

I use them on 5 of my 6 Glocks. The only issue I have ever had was I had one pin that was undersized and it would walk out on a Gen 3 Glock 22. I replaced it with a different pin and no issues since.

I use one on my gen 4 34 instead of building on a beavertail. worked well but the ribs where it has the beavertail extension bugged me and didn't let me get as high of a grip as I liked so i dremeled them off and love it now and am not even going to worry building a beavertail on it now. Gives me a great high grip and perfect point.

I use them on my Gen 3 Glocks. They are excellent in my opinion.

I used one for a bit. It wasn't my taste due to the thickness it added to the grip, but it did help me get a much higher grip on the gun. Ultimately, I ditched it because the benefits I got shooting it freestyle were not worth the drawbacks it left me with shooting SHO/WHO. For some reason, it was painful for me to reach that far forward with my trigger finger when shooting one handed. YMMV
