jayjay1
Hey guys, I´ve got a custom magwell for the TS. http://www.shop-cz.com/magazine-funnel-anodized-cz-75-ts-black/d-70738/ I´ve tried to mount it, but then I can´t fit in the Main Spring Plug Pin (part 23 in this view). http://www.google.de/imgres?imgurl=https://sites.google.com/site/cz75sp01sh/the-team/ExpView.bmp%3Fattredirects%3D0&imgrefurl=https://sites.google.com/site/cz75sp01sh/the-team&h=602&w=469&tbnid=GBgf81poQOwcbM:&zoom=1&tbnh=99&tbnw=77&usg=__3q7wP2LJfvglHNlgxCvv0HbV3FE=&docid=-HwaU1HkPVOPmM&client=firefox-a&sa=X&ei=-7xcU_-BCorQsgbQ-4GIBA&ved=0CDoQ9QEwAQ&dur=1685 When I pull the part 23 in, the Main Spring Plug (part 22) sits to deep to the bottom of the frame, and the magwell won´t go forward (being stopped through the plug). By letting the pin away, I can press the plug a little bit higher and the magwell fits. Letting the plug lose now, it sits right on the magwell. Is this correct so, or am I doing something wrong??? alma
I am no longer using the pin and the large magwell is the only thing keeping in the mainspring. Seems to work just fine.
jayjay1
Thanks a million alma! Did you take out the plug too?
kneelingatlas
No, keep the plug in, it holds the mag well on.
alma
No, keep the plug in, it holds the mag well on. Right!
jayjay1
Thanks a bunch guys! You made me happy with your help, get you a beer for that!
jayjay1
P.S.: "it holds the magwell on..." Uhm, with plug I´ve meant the piece No. 22. It presses onto the magwell from above. The Magwell is holden by a side screw.
kneelingatlas
OK, so the CZ UB TS mag well doesn't use the factory plug with the pin in it?
jayjay1
Yes, this is the plug (No. 22). http://www.google.de/imgres?imgurl=https://sites.google.com/site/cz75sp01sh/the-team/ExpView.bmp%3Fattredirects%3D0&imgrefurl=https://sites.google.com/site/cz75sp01sh/the-team&h=602&w=469&tbnid=GBgf81poQOwcbM:&zoom=1&tbnh=99&tbnw=77&usg=__3q7wP2LJfvglHNlgxCvv0HbV3FE=&docid=-HwaU1HkPVOPmM&client=firefox-a&sa=X&ei=-7xcU_-BCorQsgbQ-4GIBA&ved=0CDoQ9QEwAQ&dur=1685 The custom magwell doesn´t have a hole in it for this pin, like the original magwell has. So the pin at the bottom of this plug presses now onto the magwell like a needle. The plug sits higher (above the magwell, not "in" it) and the spring has more pressure. kneelingatlas
That's strange... I would switch to the flat one then: The CZC mag well has a hole for the pin just like the factory plastic one.
alma
I would be interested in seeing pictures
kneelingatlas
The CZ UB mag well on my standard frame works that way, I just assumed the TS one would work the way the factory one does...

Yes, that one would fix it! Where can I get it?
jayjay1
I would be interested in seeing pictures Sir! On the last pic you can see that the spring is under pressure, even when the hammer is down. Edited April 28, 2014 by jayjay1

alma
Strange that it isn't consistent since the pin on the plunger is a great way to keep the magwell in place. You can tell that this magwell isn't set up like that since there is no hole on the bottom of the well that would allow you to push up the pin. I would just grind off the pin from the factory part. No one is going to see it where it's at anyway.
jayjay1
Yayyyyyy, just drilled a hole in the magwell, right there where the pin scratched it, slightly bigger than the pin. Heard a "click" when I mounted the magwell back again. Looks good, trigger is as fine as before. @alma: I think, that´s why they added the side screw, to hold the magwell in place. I did it now the "jay-jay-way", and am thinking it´s even better than before. Thank you guys for giving me feedback and "inspiration"....
