Brassaholic13
Good to go or junk? Got a deal on a pair of them in black, and if they are going to cause feeding issues, I'll probably move them at the next gun show and buy Wilson. Opinions? Parallax3D
Checkmate makes very good mags. They are standard on Dan Wesson guns, and Kimber sells them as the KimPro series mags.
al503
Very good mags. They were more reliable than the Wilson officer mags in my 9mm ECO. The only downside is that you can't take them apart and clean/change out the guts when they wear out. Not too big of an issue for a carry weapon that won't see a boatload of rounds, though. StraightUp_OG
I use them for my SS rig. I have 8 of them and they work perfect. You most certainly can take them apart. You just need to pull the follower and spring out the top of the mag just like cleaning any welded base magazine.
Brassaholic13
Thanks guys. The gun is stainless, and the mags are carbon steel. It's hot and humid in St. Louis, and while I dont spend a lot of time outdoors in the summer, the drastic temp changes will cause metal to sweat in the summer (going from outside to a/c inside). So not only am I concerned about feeding, but also rust. Living in IL, I have never been able to carry before, so this is all a new learning curve with the advent of concealed carry permits finally being here. Adam Sills
Another positive view of Checkmate mags here. I have 16 for my single stack and they run flawlessly.
OPENB
I have 9 of them for my Para Pro Comp 40, and they are excellent. They work as well as my Tripps in that gun, at half the cost.
