jmorris
It depends on what all you are changing but it can be done with just an Allen wrench.
EddyB
Sounds like it's easy enough Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
warpspeed
Even without a dedicated toolhead, it is pretty simple.
glynnm45
However, a dedicated toolhead for each conversion IS the way to go. As Ron Popeil says " set it and forget it". That way a switch from 380 to 9mm is simply removing 3-4 Allen screws, popping off the toolhead and replacing with the other toolhead. And on the bottom end you switch out shell plates. Easy peasy!! Oldgoat03
I agree it is very easy to change calibers on an SDB. With tool heads you can change calibers in 4-5 minutes (incl tool head, dies, powder funnel and shell plate and locator buttons). If changing primer sizes it adds another couple minutes. No big deal. As mentioned "even I can do it". Edited April 1, 2014 by Oldgoat03
02doooce
Changing out SDB from 9mm to 45 is fairly easy, although its not something I plan on doing from week to week. I would suggest building up inventory of one load before swapping to another load.
pjames32
I change fairly often. I do have a dedicated primer feed for large and small primers and an extra tool head so I don't need to move the dies. Not a big deal
