Zmego
I am thinking about having my STI Eagle coated in TiCN, but the coating place wont disassemble/reassembly my gun so I need to do it in advance. How far down do I need to disassemble it in order for it to be coated? Obviously I will remove the grip from the modular frame, but do I need to remove the extractor and firing pin also? Is it ok to have my barrel coated inside and out? Any additional info that anyone can provide would be welcomed.
Loves2Shoot
As far as you can possibly go every component. You DO NOT want a coating shop worker to trying to take it apart. The coating won't hurt the inside of the barrel or go very far down the bore.
GlockCanMan
I would send it out to a shop that is willing to take it apart, so that they can put it back together and veryify that everything is working properly.
Biloxi23
Try MAD Custom Coating. There was a feature article on them in the current issue of Front Sight magazine. The have a detailed information on them in the article, and a very good web site madcustomcoating.com
