CZ 75 Champion

I purchased a Champion (.40 S & W) about 4 months ago (SN 114) and absolutely love it. Problem is all my shooting buddies want to shoot it --- even strangers come up to me and ask to shoot 4 or 5 rounds. I know of at least 4 people (including myself) who would like to buy one. Google picture to see what it looks like.

Question #1 --- Is there any place (other than Gun Brokers, Guns America, Guns International, etc.) who could provide availability information?

The owner of my favorite gun shop (I've never walked into a gun shop that wasn't my favorite at the time) said that he had never seen a Champion with a 4 digit serial number and that he thought that CZ only made about a 1000. CZ stopped production around 2010, giving the product life less than 15 years.

Question #2,3, & 4 --- Does anyone have information concering the numbers manufactured (or where I can find it), what was the reason CZ discontinued this model, and other information on the Champion?

CZ directed me to this forum. Thank you in advance for replies and comments.

The Champions were small frame CZ 75s with comps and all in single action. Had the LPA adjustable rear and were very accurate. They are no longer being made and they very rarely come up for sale. The 40 is ok but with a high cap mag capacity of 16 or so does not lend itself to be good for our sport.....maybe steel challenge. Now if you find the 9mm version then you are in for a treat as the factory 26 rd mags can be trimmed to fit the 170mm length and is a dream to shoot.

Hello all

Sorry to bring up so old topic

A question what is the thread and pitch to CZ Champion barrel

Is it as in CZ Chechmate 14x1?

As I learn from CZ 75 champion Manual and from CZ shadow Manual - the barrel lengths are the same

http://cz-usa.com/hammer/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Instruction-Manual-cz-75-SP-01-Shadow_en.pdf

I have learned that the CZChechmate is 14X1 ( with barrel like of TS - only threaded )

And that the Tanfoglio threads are M14x0.75 for small frame and M15x0.75 for large frame..

Thank you
