Hammer1
. Who makes long barrels for 45 ACP and 10mm 1911 pistols ? Realize the barrel will hang out beyond the slide and bushing. Just something to play with. .
Steve RA
KKM makes one. Do a search on Google, you'll probably find quite a few.

Carmine
Clarke ...I have an original 6" .45 with the classic pin master comp for for giggles
SSGJohnV
Why not go the full long slide look? I've been wanting a 6" gun for years, but 5" handles better in uspsa for me.
StraightUp_OG
You will need to consider the lock up and the bushing. Some barrels have the step up at the muzzle and if you use a 6" in a 5" and the bushing ID is incorrect because of the step up you barrel will not lock up properly at the muzzle. That would make for an expensive fail! Edited February 27, 2014 by StraightUp_OG
SSGJohnV
OG, would the concern be the bushing ID is too tight, or too loose? Bushing fitting would be pretty cheap/easy, wouldn't it?
StraightUp_OG
Too lose. The bushing would need to have the same ID as the OD of the barrel at the 5" mark. One could be fitted no prob. but finding a drop-in might be more of a challenge. Edited February 27, 2014 by StraightUp_OG
