How does the blue bullets coating compare to hitek? They are very affordable.

It appears to be tougher than the hitek.

I've been using them but have not used hitek to compare.

I shot both out of my open gun, they both worked, they didn't lead up the barrel, btw 125gn pushed to 1400fps

The BBI's were slightly faster, but smoked and had an awful burning chicken manure smell when fired

The Blues didn't smoke, didn't smell, and have a slight bevel base and were easier to load

I've found the flattened disk of the blue bullets after they hit steel, and the coating on the base was intact

It's ok, means one day when I have some spare time, I'll go back through the list and update it if prices have changed any.

I've had some samples of Blue Bullets here forever, I think I have ~250 124/5gr RN, and 250 147gr, just need to get around to loading them up and doing some testing.

I know they seem to be gathering a decent following, with some saying they will leave some blue residue on your fingers when loading them, but nothing in the barrel, incl. a handful running through suppressors.

So, no direct experience yet, but certainly some happy with them.
