Nealio
It's the twin to the one you have. The local guy here that has it doesn't want it any more.

CleverUsername
I gather from this post that 170mm mags are hard to find so an open tanfoglio would probably be a bad choice?
george76904
Well yes and no. Yes the 170mm mags are hard to come by but you can have one built for $150-165 (about the same as a tned 2011 170mm mag). No I don't think that an open tanfoglio would be a bad idea! However thats just my 2 cents I gather from this post that 170mm mags are hard to find so an open tanfoglio would probably be a bad choice? Guest
The new style Caspian mags work in the large frame tanfos but they will require some tuning to become reliable. They sell 170mm mags (38 super/9mm) with grams spring/follower for about 125 but you have to call as they aren't listed. I use a Caspian open gun so it is convenient that the 170mm mags work with the tanfo open gun.
george76904
Bamboo- can you post a link to some of the mags I am not sure which ones you are talking about.
Guest
Caspian doesn't have them on their website so you have to call and ask if they have any in stock. Again, be aware that you will have to tune the mags for reliability - out of the box I have not found them to be reliable but once tuned they are very good and my favorite 170mm mags. There are a couple of ways to tune them and a search of the forums for Caspian mag tuning would probably be worth your time if you are considering them. Also, be aware that the old style Caspian mags do not fit the Tanfos, only the new style that have the quick change base pads. The mag in this 38 super tanfo is a Caspian 170mm. Attached are pics of a tuned 170mm mag and a fresh-out-of-the-bag mag before tuning. They are weld-ups and the welding job is very good.
