stardust tommy
hi I live in Belgium so the following powders are "easy to obtain" VV 350 VV3N37 vectan SP2 Ramshot true bleu (cheapest of them all) I load my ammo on a RL550 are there any issues involved when using certain powders? I know in the past I've had some problems with fine ball powder in my dillon 550 The gun is a custom on a 2011 frame and a trubor T1 barrel in 9x19. I've tested the gun with factory ammo and vihta N340 reloads and it works flawless... but I want to get the comp working harder gr T
Sarge
I have loaded 3N37 on a 550 and 650 with great results. It meters fine and creates good gas in 9MAJOR. I have read plenty about how great SP2 is in 9MAJOR so if you can get it I would certainly try it out. Supposedly the Holy Grail for 9.
Guest
VV N350 meters very well in the dillon powder measure, also. I've never used SP2 but have heard that it is a pretty fine ball powder and sometimes that can cause troubles if your powder bar/spacer has any gaps. kneelingatlas
SP2... ...the Holy Grail for 9. I hear 3N38 is very similar, but I've never tried it. I load SP2 on a 550 and it works great however it does leak some fine dust past the powder bar.
lcs
I've used all except SP2 and they all work great. Go with the always available and your good to go on the 550 with those powders.
Justsomeguy
Although I like True Blue as a very good all around powder for many calibers, I was unaware that it worked well with a comp in 9mm Major applications. I would have thought its sister powder, Silhouette, would be a better choice for that.
stardust tommy
Silhouette isn't available, many of the ramshot powders are produced in Belgium... Silhouette in Canada I believe

There are a few guys on here who use it in 9MAJOR.
