1632 Lithium Battery

If the Burris Fast Fire III requires the use of a 1632 battery then that is all you can use in it. The number of the battery defines its physical size. For example, a 1632 is 16mm in diameter and 3.2mm in height. So a 2032 is the same height but a larger 20mm diameter.

Most electronics that leverage these "Button" style batteries use a terminal that touches the side of the battery and the center. Since one terminal touches the side, if the battery is the wrong diameter (too big or small) then it physically wont work in the device.

Since the Burris Fast Fire III requires the use of physical size of the 1632 battery, then there is no point in talking about using a 2032 in its place.

As far as battery life performance, this is measured in miliamp hour (mah) of discharge capability and there is usually a direct correlation between the physical size of the battery and its rated mah discharge capability. For example, the 1632 battery has a rating of 140mah, and the 2032 has a rating of 225. So the 2032 almost has twice the capacity of the 1632. But once again, since the 2032 battery will not fit into the Burris Fast Fire III there is no point worrying about the discharge capacity differences.
