Slidestop
I purchased a sample pack of Bayou's 147 and 160gr bullets. What is your opinion about running them through the Lee FCD?
noylj
Take one of the bullets and try it. Measure bullet OD before and after. If bullets are 0.356", there should be no swaging down. If bullets are 0.358", there may be swaging down. If you do not carefully make sure the bullet enter the seating die square, there may be some swaging down. johnmac
I put a heavy crimp on the Bayou 160 grainers (.358, round nose, no crimp groove) with the .38/.357 Lee FCD, and I've gotten excellent accuracy, and very consistent speeds across the chrono out of a S&W Model 67. Slidestop
These measure .356. I'm using the Redding Competition seater. I'll check before and after, although it won't be tonight. Going to the range tomorrow. I'll load up a few before I go. Does 10 at 3.0gr N320 @1.16 sound right for a CZ 75 SP01? I measured 1.175 hitting the lands.
