burningsquirrels
yes, but it requires a small amount of work. if you remove the mag release, you'll see why. in addition, don't forget to loctite the mag catch/trigger bar spring screw in the frame when you put it back in. don't ask me how i know. twowheels
Yes, it can be done reasonably easily. However, some of the screws are staked in place and require some force to break free. On one gun, I removed the grips and clamped the frame in a vice, found a good fitting screw driver, put a medium sized crescent wrench on the shaft of the screw driver for leverage, and put a fair bit of weight on the top of the screw driver to hold it in place while turning the crescent wrench to break the screw free. It worked like a charm. Reinstalling the spring can also be fiddly. Second reminder--Don't forget to loctite the screw!!

JesseM
Why loctite the screw? I'm assuming you mean blue not red?
twowheels
Yes blue. The loctite is so the screw doesn't back out under use and cause the springs it holds in place to move from where they are supposed to be. If you look inside the frame with the slide off, you can see that the screw holds a spring that the trigger bar rides on. The gun won't work too well with the trigger bar flopping around.
