RevolverJockey
Seems like no one really likes them. Assuming you happen to be a machinist and could take the extra 3ounces off the end of the gun and you personally prefer a black black on black sight picture, is there any Eason not to get a Vcomp if that is what you can find? Koppi
I'm going to use one, maybe. Paul Grundhauser is going to make me a FO front sight, I hear you on the black on black.
RevolverJockey
Anyone know how much sight radius a 627 Vcomp gives up to a 5" PC? Lee
mikeAZ
Now you tell me, ...got one on the way....
RevolverJockey
My 610 has a sight radius of 6.400" but it has a aftermarket front sight and front sight base. Can anyone measure a factory Vcomp 5" and let me know? Thanks, Lee

WheelGunHunter
I think shooting a V comp would be great for revolver division next year. I shoot a 627 PC 5" and it doesn't have much muzzle rise, so I imagine the V comp would be sweet. My one little concern (can be eliminated with practice) is transition time because it is front heavy. Other than wishing it had the interchangeable front sight to me it is a great gun.
ede
I use a Carmonized VComp for Steel Challenge, along with a few other revolvers. I've as quick or quicker with it as I am any other revolver.
revoman
I have seen Jerry M shoot a VComp and it doesn't seem to slow him down. In fact he has won a few IRCs with it. :-)
latech15
I also have a carbonized v comp. I love it. It is heavy, but I'm not a little girl so it doesn't bother me. Speaking of little girls, doesn't Julie shoot one? I'm pretty sure it has been lightened, but still.....
