cottyw Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 I forgot about this thread. So here is what I did to get some of the benefit of a comp without all the blast. I cut off some of the chambers. Here at work I had a lot of opportunity to look at comps on work guns. Some soviet and some US. Everything from 105 to DISKA. A lot of them used a one chamber designs. It is a compromise. I get some of recoil reduction but without all the blast. I found I could further tune the break by slowly opening up the front hole. Temp humidity and dew point have a lot to do with how much smoke you can see. THe JP tank brake directs all the gas out the sides...you may want to try it.
