open17
Just bought a used CZ75 SP-01 Tactical. It's on the production approved list, so no problems there. It has a CZ Custom installed Competition Decock hammer on it. OK for Production? (SWEET trigger once you get past the first shot!) I'm assuming that when I hit the decocker and drop the hammer (it decocks to about halfway down) that it meets the criteria for "fully decocked"? I know with the Shadow the hammer must be down on the firing pin, but this one is a decocker gun.

JGus
Sorry to revive an old thread, but someone asked Troy McManus today if the CZC Shadow Hammer was legal on the CZ SP01 Tactical decocker model for Production division. Here was McManus response:"The Shadow hammer is not provided by CZ on the SP-01 decocker model, so no, it can't be interchanged" So it appears there is some disagreement on this. While I no longer use it in Production division, I have an SP01 Tactical decocker 9mm with a CZC Shadow hammer. When I ordered it with the upgrades I was told that hammer was Production legal on the gun. Seems USPSA official response is that it isn't. Quack
The Shadow hammer is a OFM part, and its on another approved gun, so its legal. OFM or aftermarket parts. Any other components which are externally visible may ONLY be replaced with OFM parts which are offered on the specific model of gun or another approved gun from the same manufacturer except as specifically clarified below. • Externally-visible parts from “custom shop” guns will only be considered “OFM parts” if the custom-shop gun is on the NROI list of approved Production guns.
