spook
Sometimes, about once or twice a year, when the sun goes down the whole sky will light up so bright in yellow and orange , that I just stand and watch for half an hour. Just totally in awe of being part of this universe. I dunno, but I really love that. This probably sound kinda silly, but I'll put it here anyways. SiG Lady
Not silly at all. The stuff in our skies is the ultimate light show. Day OR night.

spook
Brian, yeah, the skies in Holland are amazing. Guess that's why so many of the Dutch masters (painters, not shooters ) are so famous. SiG Lady, I've never seen it. Have you? It seems to be really amazing, from what I've heard. SiG Lady
I saw ultra-awesome sunsets in Western Washington (State) so many nights of the year I lost count. Talk about beautiful! spook--the Northern Lights/Aurora were seen during my stay in Alaska. Also ulta-awesome. Very hard to describe, really... kind-of a now-you-see'em-now-you-don't phenomenon. Ethereal, pastel, neon, moving, shifting, sweeping mysteriously back 'n forth across the sky like wispy electric curtains blowing in the wind. Yep, Grand Canyon is nice, too.
