IceDevil
Are there instructions anywhere on how to convert a 550 casefeeder for use on a 650? From searching, it seems like it's definitely feasible but no specific instructions on what is involved. Any permanent modifications required? Thanks in advance for any info. The_Vigilante
Is there a difference between the two casefeeders?
98sr20ve
It will just drop on the 650 support. Get the 650 tube and you should be good to go. If you don't every plan to use it on the 550 sell it to a 550 person and buy a new 650 one. 650 version is two speed. Besides that they are the same at the bowl area. IceDevil
The bowl for both units is the same, but on the 550 the switch to stop the collator when the tube gets full of brass is located in a different place - it is actually attached to a clear housing on the casefeeder tube instead of inside the clear plastic on the collator. The switch needs to be relocated, and that's the part that I am a little unclear how to do.
aug1911
On my new 550 casefeeder it has the holes in the funnel on the bowl for the switch. Atleast on mine, I could move the switch from the tube for 550 to the funnel if I wanted to install it on a 650.
