Anyone got loads that make Major in 16" 1:8 barrel? Locally, it looks like our clubs wont be using TimePlus for awhile...

Ill also be casting some 155's and 230's . I have on hand some 110 MK's, 125 MK's , and 175 MK's... I just ordered parts to put together an upper, maybe a month to complete..Thanks in advance

175 is about as light as you can go and make Major, if you want to reload your brass. If you dont mind killing your primer pockets, 155s will work.

The Berger VLDs are a bit "needle nosed" and it's tough to get them to the correct OAL to run in the magazines. I've used the Sierra MK 220 for subsonic loads and they run great.

Bergers for the most part dont tolerate a bullet "jump" very well. The Sierras dont mind it a bit so they will be easier to work with.

I have shot Berger 230 Hybrids in my 300 Bolt gun. Very fun and very accurate, but I burned through a lot of them before I found a hammer of a load.
