CZ TS rear sight removal

Hi all,

I am proud owner of new TS in .40. I am looking to remove the rear sight and front sight. Just want to know if it matters which direction I remove the rear sight? I have researched this a bit and all I have found is that it could be in very tight and need a fair bit of persuation to remove it, but not if it matters which way.

the reason for the sight change is that I have installed the CZ USA mag well and have heard it is too big for the IPSC box in its present state. I do not have a box to check so if this is a falicy, let me know before i change the sights cause I do not mind the big sights on it.

You don't really need to worry about the box unless you're going to shoot IPSC. On my Tactical Sport, I pushed the rear sight from right to left. The front sight I had to use a dremmel tool on it. Hope this helps,Dave.

Not sure on the rear sight but to remove the front sight you drive out the pin with a small punch. Be sure to reinstall the pin (or a new one) as the pin also retains the barrel bushing.

Thanks for replies guys!

I am going to shoot IPSC with it so it must fit in the box.

I do not have a sight pusher so hope I can do it with BFH and a punch

Yes to Canada, and no to base pads. I think I will need them as I have dropped or failed to engage mag fully with the big well. Crap, more money!!

Cheers
