Mr. Bean
Hi all, I am proud owner of new TS in .40. I am looking to remove the rear sight and front sight. Just want to know if it matters which direction I remove the rear sight? I have researched this a bit and all I have found is that it could be in very tight and need a fair bit of persuation to remove it, but not if it matters which way. the reason for the sight change is that I have installed the CZ USA mag well and have heard it is too big for the IPSC box in its present state. I do not have a box to check so if this is a falicy, let me know before i change the sights cause I do not mind the big sights on it.
twister
You don't really need to worry about the box unless you're going to shoot IPSC. On my Tactical Sport, I pushed the rear sight from right to left. The front sight I had to use a dremmel tool on it. Hope this helps,Dave.
Neomet
Not sure on the rear sight but to remove the front sight you drive out the pin with a small punch. Be sure to reinstall the pin (or a new one) as the pin also retains the barrel bushing. Edited April 19, 2013 by Neomet
kneelingatlas
Are you in Canada? Do you have longer base pads for those ten rounders yet?

Mr. Bean
Thanks for replies guys! I am going to shoot IPSC with it so it must fit in the box. I do not have a sight pusher so hope I can do it with BFH and a punch Yes to Canada, and no to base pads. I think I will need them as I have dropped or failed to engage mag fully with the big well. Crap, more money!! Cheers
kneelingatlas
CZ Custom says their small mag well only fits in the box with adjustable sights, so it looks like the big one is a no go either way. http://czcustom.com/CZ-Tactical_Sport-Mag-Well.aspx
Mr. Bean
Thanks kneelingatlas. I will call CZ USA to see what they mean by "fitting required" to fit. Maybe a little ginding on bottom of magwell. Cheers
Neomet
Be sure to call CZ Custom (Angus's shop) at the link kneelingatlas gave. CZ USA is a different critter.
